Tasmania would love to welcome you to Hobart for the 2027 Australian Scrabble Championship, to be held 27-29 March 2027.

The playing venue will be the beautiful and historic Hobart Town Hall, right in the heart of the city on Macquarie Street.

The event will be directed by Nick Ivanovski, with assistance throughout the three days from non-playing support team Khen Meerding and Stephen Mooney-Pursell.

There will be generous prize money across both divisions (prize structure to be announced soon), as we aim to reward exceptional play regardless of division.

The Australian Women's Championship will be held 24-25 March 2027 at the same venue and will be directed by Paul Richards. The entry form and further information will be announced in the coming weeks.

Prior to and following the National Championship, Karen Richards will be hosting a range of youth Scrabble activities, and more information on these will be announced in due course.

As the playing room has limited capacity we would like to encourage everyone to register early to avoid disappointment.
